Job Description:
The Oracle DBA and UNIX system administrator is responsible for all aspects of the production database environment including Solaris and Oracle 8i and 9i. The position is also responsible for deploying regular changes to the production and staging environments. Additionally, they will be on the 24x7 on-call team. This position will report to the operations manager.

Qualifications:

• Extensive knowledge of Oracle and Solaris.
• Experience working in a hosted datacenter.
• Extensive knowledge of database migration, scripting and backup procedures for Solaris/Oracle servers.
• Working knowledge of Oracle Advanced Replication and Oracle DataGuard.
• Experience with WinNT, Nokia firewalls and hardware security devices a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• BS in computer science or related engineering/science discipline.
• 4 + years experience in a “Production Operations Role” in an e-commerce environment.
• Permanent US resident or US citizen preferred.
