Job Description:
The release engineer is responsible for the company's digital identity management and authentication software product nightly builds and release management. As an integral member of the engineering development team, the release engineer is responsible for writing and maintaining build scripts and installers for engineering and manufacturing releases. This person will have strong scripting skills, should be familiar with version control systems and software development tools, and should know their way around installer tools. Primary responsibilities include:

• Provide software, services, or both to software engineering and software quality assurance teams
• Write and maintain various scripts comprising the automated build process for all products
• Develop and maintain documentation describing all aspects of the automated build processes and installer/installation processes for all products
• Interact with the SQA team to incorporate changes in the setup.

Qualifications:

• Good knowledge of CVS, makefiles and ant
• Familiarity with Java and C++ compiler
• Good knowledge in Perl and shell scripting
• Ability to plan the infrastructure needed for nightly builds
• Must have worked on Windows and Unix platforms
• B.E or B.Tech. with 3-4 years experience in release engineering
