Job Description:
The sustenance engineer II will develop expertise in product configuration, diagnostics and customer best practices. Primary responsibilities include:

• Bug fixing and releasing hot patches to customers
• Developing internal diagnostic tools that can be used internally or externally by customers
• Communicating and negotiating extensively with customers
• Troubleshooting complex technical problems and ensure early resolution.

Qualifications:

• Excellent problem solving and debugging skills
• Good communication skills and ability to handle various customer issues concurrently
• Ability to analyze core file on Unix platforms
• Sound knowledge of Java technologies and C++
• Working knowledge of databases and application servers
• Familiarity with multi-threaded programming on windows and Unix platform
• Prior experience in development or technical support of any enterprise product
• Familiarity with debuggers, tools such as purify, etc
• Ability to interact with third party vendor for support
• Ability to analyze a problem and come up with intelligent and practical workaround
• B.E or B.Tech. with 3-5 years experience in product development or support
• Ability to self-learn and work with multiple third party products and technologies
• Ability to travel to customer site or HQ in short notice
• Familiarity with security and cryptographic technologies with be an added advantage.
