JCB's J/Secure adds an important password identification step to the traditional online shopping process, verifying the identity of the person entering the card information. J/Secure technology is conveniently implemented, and is compliant with the 3-D Secure protocol, which was co-developed by Arcot and Visa. JCB has implemented the Arcot TransFort for Issuers solution to offer an ePayments J/Secure authentication service directly to JCB's cardholders including its franchisees. Arcot TransFort solutions enable authentication for all parties of an online transactions, including issuing banks, payment processors, online merchants, and merchant aggregators. Arcot TransFort greatly reduces the incidence of fraudulent and disputed online payments and their associated costs. This integrated offering enables JCB to address JCB cardholder concerns about the safety of online shopping, while allowing Internet merchants to benefit from improved security.
