Tivoli Access and identity Managers integrate with Arcot WebFort to provide strong authentication while maintaining the same username/password login experience for Tivoli users. Arcot WebFort is a software-only, strong authentication solution that provides PKI-strength authentication completely in software, eliminating the need for expensive hardware. WebFort uses Arcot's patented ArcotID “Secure Software Credential” to provide strong, two-factor authentication of the user. IBM's integration with Arcot enhances the business value for Tivoli customers in areas like identity, risk and privacy management solutions.

By partnering with Arcot, IBM also enables services such as Verfied by Visa and Mastercard SecureCode which reduces the potential for fraud in online purchases. IBM offers the Arcot TransFort solution to enable authentication for all parties of an online transactions, including issuing banks, payment processors, online merchants, and merchant aggregators. Arcot co-wrote the 3-D Secure protocol with Visa in 2000, which created a simple and effective way to protect against fraudulent transaction.

As a System Integrator, IBM Global Services integrates Arcot's unique software-based authentication capabilities with customers who require risk-based or strong authentication and don't want the expense of implementing hardware tokens.
